Q&A with Amy Richardson
What do you do at Dealer Teamwork and how does your work impact our customers' competitive advantage?
I lead the development team at Dealer Teamwork. I spend my time maintaining and enhancing the MPOP® by identifying and implementing technical solutions to digital marketing problems. Our team builds and delivers valuable new features that keep our customers ahead of the competition.
What Dealer Teamwork product, feature, service, etc have you enjoyed working on the most and why?
I love all things automation! I enjoy working on projects that introduce functionality for automatically creating and managing content. These features add value to our product by generating accurate content that is distributed exceptionally fast.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is delivering new features and seeing the measurable value they provide to our customers.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?
The biggest misconception about my position is that software developers spend all of their time coding. I am involved in all phases of the software development life cycle, which means I spend a lot of time involved in the planning and designing of solutions before I dive into the code.
What’s your favorite hobby outside of work and what do you enjoy most about it?
My favorite hobby outside of work is reading and writing. I’ve always believed that sharing stories is a big part of what makes life meaningful. Stories allow us to make deeper connections to other people, the world, and our own experiences.
